This one day training provides healthcare professionals with the information and tools needed to integrate brief, evidence-based tobacco treatment interventions into current practice. It has been well established that brief interventions can significantly increase quit attempts and lead to long term tobacco abstinence. During this event, which is led by licensed healthcare professionals, participants will learn about nicotine addiction, how to use effective, motivational strategies with their clients and patients who use tobacco, and the evidence base for providing quit assistance for those who are ready. Participants report that this one day training builds their confidence, allowing them to engage their patients at every visit and to provide knowledgeable assistance and referral.
